Prayer

Why do we pray together in EDGE group? First off, prayer is an acknowledgement of our infinite dependence on God. More than “what can I get”, prayer is all about relationship. Prayer is purposeful and intentional submission to God’s will for our own life, the lives of those in the EDGE group, and ultimately the world.  I addition, prayer is also an expression of our dependence on others, of our being for and with each other. Praying together shows we care for others by hearing each other and joining together in asking God to continue working in our lives. Praying together with other EDGE group participants allows us to join together to believe truth about ourselves instead of lies, renew perspective, and crush strongholds.
