Orbit The Core
Time And Place
Mondays (starting Feb. 20) @ 5:00pm in in the City Union (Check the Union schedule for the room)
Course Goal
The goal is to equip believers to revolve their life around the Gospel. By equipping Immovable Core class graduates with practical tools to daily grow closer to God and apply the Gospel to their own character and relationships with others, participants can learn some key principles to become life-long followers of Christ.
Class Time Commitment
Plan 50 minutes for class each week, usually a 1/2 hour outside of class for reading and memorizing a verse and 30 to 60 minutes to meet with a class mentor.
At most 2 ½ hrs/wk.
Class Attendance
Due to the progressive nature of the material, attendance is required. To meet prerequisite requirements for subsequent classes, you are allowed no more than two absences.
Class Mentor
Each student is encouraged to meet with a staff member or other Immovable Core graduate to talk about and clarify class content and how it applies to the student’s everyday life.
“In the Orbit The Core Class we continue what we started with those of you that have completed the Immovable Core class. We study how to revolve your life around God. It is an 8 week experience that will be discussion oriented and touch on topics such as God’s Will, Spiritual Practices, and Relationships. Like the Immovable Core class, it will incorporate small groups and mentoring.”
